Registration for Youth Rodeo is closed! From Mutton busting to Cash Cow, these youth rodeo events are crowd-pleasing and exciting. They offer area youth the opportunity to participate in rodeo events to keep them involved. EVENTS INCLUDE: MUTTON BUSTIN, STICK HORSE RACE, GOAT RIBBON PULLING, AND CASH COW. UPDATES FOR 2026 NEW Events: - CPRA Mutton Bustin': These runs will take place during the Friday and Saturday CPRA Rodeo Performances. - Sunday Shoot Out Mutton Bustin': This event will take place during the Sunday Ranch Rodeo Performance Contestant Selection: Contestants will be selected on a first come, first served basis via the online entry form. We will no longer be using the lottery method to select our contestants. Entry Fees: Each event will require a non-refundable fee. - $25 for Goat Ribbon Pulling, Cash Cow, and Stick Horse Races - $50 for Youth Rodeo Mutton Bustin' - $100 for CPRA Mutton Bustin' - $50 for Sunday Shoot Out Mutton Bustin' Age Requirements: - Stick Horse Races: 3-4 - Goat Ribbon Pulling: 8-13 - Cash Cow: 9-16 - Youth Rodeo Mutton Bustin': 5-7 - CPRA Rodeo Mutton Bustin': 6-8 - Sunday Shoot Out Mutton Bustin': 6-8 NO GEAR IS PROVIDED FOR ANY YOUTH RODEO EVENT Meaning of protective gear for Mutton Bustin: Riders must wear properly fitted helmet and protective vest. Helmet must be a youth equestrian/rodeo style (not bike helmet) and must fit snug (no rocking or sliding). Face guard is recommended but not required. Vest must be a youth rodeo or impact vest, must cover chest and ribs, and must fit snug (not loose, but not too tight). Do not sign up your child(ren) for more than one spot per youth rodeo event. Youth Rodeo Mutton Bustin’, CPRA Mutton Bustin’, and Sunday Shoot Out Mutton Bustin’ are three separate events – contestants may enter each one. Once entered for any event, there will be no switching of event and/or date. Day-of entries MAY be available pending contestant no-shows. We will not know of

FRIDAY, APRIL 9, 2027 and SATURDAY, APRIL 10, 2027   Youth events start at 6:30 Following the Youth Events the CPRA rodeo will begin. The Rodeos are sanctioned by the Cowboy's Professional Rodeo Association. Friday and Saturday Rodeo's take place in the Woodforest National Bank Arena located in the heart of the Fairgrounds.  Entrance into the Rodeo is included with the purchase of a grounds ticket.   Come see all your favorite Rodeo events live and in person! Bull riding, tie down roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing, team roping, breakaway roping, saddle and bareback bronc riding, and of course fan favorites, mutton bustin' and calf scramble! Our Friday and Saturday night concerts take place just outside of the Arena making for an action packed night of entertainment full of convenience and fun!
