Account deletion
Deleting your account
You can delete your LoSo account and its associated data at any time. Here's how, and exactly what happens to your data.
From inside the app
- Open LoSo and go to your profile.
- Tap Account Settings.
- Tap Delete account at the bottom of the screen.
- Confirm by entering the one-time code we text to your phone. Your account is deleted immediately.
If you can't access the app
Email us at [email protected] from the phone number on your account, or tell us the number you signed up with, and we'll delete your account for you.
What is deleted
Your profile and phone number, profile photo, RSVPs, saved events, follows, Circles and memberships, notification preferences, push tokens, and login sessions — along with any upcoming events you are hosting — are permanently removed right away. Any residual copies in our encrypted backups age out within 35 days.
What is kept
Past events you hosted and any content reports you filed are kept, but are anonymized — your name and account ID are removed so they can no longer be linked to you. We also retain a security record of the deletion that contains only irreversibly scrambled (hashed) identifiers, never readable personal data. We keep these limited records only as long as needed to prevent abuse and meet our legal obligations, as described in our Privacy Policy.
