Account deletion

Deleting your account

You can delete your LoSo account and its associated data at any time. Here's how, and exactly what happens to your data.

From inside the app

  1. Open LoSo and go to your profile.
  2. Tap Account Settings.
  3. Tap Delete account at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Confirm by entering the one-time code we text to your phone. Your account is deleted immediately.

If you can't access the app

Email us at [email protected] from the phone number on your account, or tell us the number you signed up with, and we'll delete your account for you.

What is deleted

Your profile and phone number, profile photo, RSVPs, saved events, follows, Circles and memberships, notification preferences, push tokens, and login sessions — along with any upcoming events you are hosting — are permanently removed right away. Any residual copies in our encrypted backups age out within 35 days.

What is kept

Past events you hosted and any content reports you filed are kept, but are anonymized — your name and account ID are removed so they can no longer be linked to you. We also retain a security record of the deletion that contains only irreversibly scrambled (hashed) identifiers, never readable personal data. We keep these limited records only as long as needed to prevent abuse and meet our legal obligations, as described in our Privacy Policy.

How do I create an account?
Download LoSo from the App Store, open the app, and tap Sign in. We'll send you a one-time code by SMS — no password to remember.
How do I delete my account?
Open the app and go to Profile → Account Settings, then tap Delete account at the bottom of the screen. If you can't access the app, email us at [email protected] and we'll delete it for you. See Deleting your account above for the full list of what's removed and what's kept.
What is a Circle?
A Circle is a small group of friends you can plan events with privately. Anything you RSVP to or share inside a Circle is only visible to its members.
Why does LoSo need my location / zipcode?
We use your zipcode to surface local events near you. You can change it anytime from your profile, and we never share your precise location with other users.
How do I report a bug or inappropriate content?
Email [email protected] with a description and, if possible, a screenshot. We respond to most reports within 48 hours.
Which cities does LoSo support?
LoSo works in cities across the US — set your zipcode in the app and we'll surface events happening near you.
