11/6 Kampong Malaysian Pop-Up
Rathskeller · Elkridge
Friday, November 6, 2026 · Time TBD
OUR FIRST OFF-SITE EVENT at Elkridge Assembly RoomKampong means "village," in Malay. Growing up just outside of Kuala Lumpur, my parents have always had a hard time finding Malay food (nevermind if it's good or not) in the US. Doing it partially for them, I host this pop-up to get in touch with my roots. It also helps that I happen to love the defining features of Malay food. Featuring notes of spicy, salty, sweet, and sour, Malay cuisine to me, is a marriage of Indian, Thai, and Chinese cuisines but yet - distinctly different. Come order!Roti Canai with Curry $8a traditional Indian flaky bread with a simple red curry for dippingSingapore Noodles $15 a curried vermeclli stir fry with a ton of veggies+6 proteins (beef rendang, braised pork, ginger poached chicken)Beef Rendang $17a comforting beef stew with asian spicesBak-kut-teh $16a fragrant herbed pork stew that heals the soulUbe Ice Cream Sundae $5ok, I took some fusion liberties here! pandan whipped cream, condensed milk
