  "village\," in Malay. Growing up just outside of Kuala Lumpur\, my parent
 s have always had a hard time finding Malay food (nevermind if it's good o
 r not) in the US. Doing it partially for them\, I host this pop-up to get 
 in touch with my roots. It also helps that I happen to love the defining f
 eatures of Malay food. Featuring notes of spicy\, salty\, sweet\, and sour
 \, Malay cuisine to me\, is a marriage of Indian\, Thai\, and Chinese cuis
