Guided tasting by Alastair Menzies, The Dalmore's U.S. Rare Whisky Manager, who will lead guests through exceedingly rare expressions while sharing inside stories about The Dalmore's history and craftmanship A single malt whisky distillery located in the Scottish Highlands that specializes in aging its single malts in casks from the world’s greatest bodegas and wineries, The Dalmore began its Cask Curation Series in 2023 to focus on maturation styles. The final installment - the Madeira Wine Cask Edition - is a collection of three exquisite expressions aged for 30, 34 and 45 years, each finished in a different cask from The Dalmore's exclusive partner, Blandy's historic wine lodge in Funchal, Madeira.With only 150 sets available worldwide (just 18 of which are allocated to the US), this ultra-rare whisky collection has a suggested retail price of $44,500. Highlight Pours:Bottle I - Aged 30 Years, finished in an exceptionally rare Terrantez cask, reveals notes of stone fruit, toasted walnuts and caramelised orange peel, complemented by dried apricot and allspice on the palate. Bottle II - Aged 34 Years, finished in a Bual cask, opens with layers of Seville orange, peach and Manuka honey, before developing into dried fruit and patisserie spices. Bottle II - Aged 34 Years, finished in a Bual cask, opens with layers of Seville orange, peach and Manuka honey, before developing into dried fruit and patisserie spices.
