Last DC Delegate Candidate Forum

Friday, October 23, 2026 · 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Can making DC, the nation’s capital, a federal income tax-free zone improve the city’s economy & the quality of life for District residents? The election cycle isn’t over yet. A majority of eligible voters didn’t vote in the primary. According to the DC Board of Elections, 32% of District voters participated in the primary and special elections held on June 16. In other words, nearly 70% did not cast a ballot. That doesn’t even account for the fact that none of DC’s 77,000 independents could vote in the primary. They will choose a candidate for the first time in Nov. Eleanor Holmes Norton has refused to endorse the Democratic primary winner. The evening will feature two one-hour candidate debates beginning with: 6:00–7:00 PM | Ward 5 State Board of Education Debate Candidates: Lynn Jennings and Jon Alfuth 7:00 - 8:00 PM | DC Delegate Candidates: Kymone Freeman, Robert White and Denise Rosado Both Moderated by Dr. Jacques Patterson, President of DC Statboard of Education with opening questions from DCPS HS students.
