Here Still is one of the only international documentaries that captures the complexity and vibrancy of the Kashmiri resistance movement. Shot during a temporary cease fire in 2018, Here Still provides a glimpse into the reality of life in Indian Occupied Kashmir with exclusive footage from torture survivors and human rights activists. Far-right Hindutva nationalists funneled hundreds of millions of dollars rewriting Kashmir's history through propaganda films via the world’s largest film industry - Bollywood. Tara's documentary turns our attention toward those whose lives have been shaped by the violence that these narratives seek to erase.
