As AI agents gain the ability to act independently, they also create new opportunities for cyberattacks, data breaches, and real-world harm. Who should be held responsible when an AI system is manipulated, makes a damaging decision, or acts beyond its intended purpose?
Join Ben Yelin, JD, Program Director for Public Policy and External Affairs at the University of Maryland Center for Cyber, Health, and Hazard Strategies and a Lecturer in Law at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. Yelin also co-hosts Caveat, a weekly CyberWire podcast exploring surveillance, digital privacy, cybersecurity law, and public policy.
Drawing on his expertise at the intersection of technology, law, and public policy, Yelin will examine how autonomous AI agents are reshaping cybersecurity risk, why current liability laws may no longer be adequate, and what reforms may be needed as AI systems take on increasingly consequential roles.
