Monday, November 2, 2026 · 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Join us Monday, November 2, for a hybrid collaborative topical seminar sponsored by Cook Library, FACET, and the College of Education, Office of Research and Evaluation. The session is led by Stuart Robinson from Robertson Educational Resources, who will share a topical seminar and discussion on using the platform Nvivo in qualitative research. Join colleagues from Towson University as we learn more about using Nvivo to code, query, and produce visualizations to support data analysis, and insight into AI features of the software. Join colleagues at the Cook Library Computer Lab and work through the process of creating a new project, importing data, working through sample projects on NVivo 15, and attaining knowledge on the following skills for using NVivo for Windows: Importing data and setting up a new project Coding data (tagging, assigning meaning to phrases or paragraphs in the data). Queries: text search query, word frequency query, matrix coding query. (These are tools used in analyzing the data). Autocoding by sentiment (capturing emotions in the data). AI tools for coding and transcripts summaries. (Giving the software your parent codes and asking it to make "child" or sub-codes). If time, how to import a survey into NVivo (which one code afterwards). Fill out the form today (https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/KUQxbvre7E) Reserve a space at the session.
