Blending gothic humor, cabaret theatrics, and Americana-inspired storytelling, they craft darkly whimsical songs that explore love, death, folklore, mythology, science, and the occult. Their acclaimed catalog spans seven releases, including Our Lady of Radium, Super Natural History, and their latest album, The Double (2025), earning praise for its clever lyricism, haunting harmonies, and playfully macabre sensibility. Known for their immersive live performances, Charming Disaster combines vocal harmonies, ukulele, guitar, and virtuosic foot percussion to create a theatrical experience somewhere between a concert and a storybook séance. Their interactive Musical Oracle show invites audiences to draw cards from the Charming Disaster Oracle Deck, allowing chance to shape each performance. The duo has captivated audiences across the U.S. and Europe, appearing at venues and festivals ranging from Joe’s Pub and the Rochester Fringe Festival to historic cemeteries, museums, sideshows, and literary events.
