Alexis Cole is an internationally acclaimed jazz vocalist, pianist, educator, and producer whose warm, expressive style has earned her recognition as one of today's leading jazz singers. A Top Winner of the Jazzmobile Vocal Competition, third-place winner of the Montreux Jazz Vocal Competition, and finalist in the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, she has released fourteen albums and performed with artists including Fred Hersch, Bucky Pizzarelli, and Don Braden. A professor of jazz voice at Manhattan School of Music and founder ofJazzVoice.comand the Vocal Jazz Summit, Alexis has spent decades inspiring audiences and mentoring the next generation of vocalists. Tonight's performance celebrates the release of Taking My Seat: A Musical Inheritance, her first trio recording as a pianist, featuring bassist David Finck and drummer Kenny Hassler—a deeply personal collection honoring the musical legacy that shaped her life.
