Wounded Warrior 5K Fun Run

Walk, Run, or Jog... This family-friendly event raises awareness and funds in support of our nation's bravest warriors and their families through programs and services provided by Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). Join us on the beautiful campus of Trane Technologies in Davidson, NC, for a 5K along the shore of Lake Norman. Not local to Davidson? We still want you to participate so please join our "Virtual" option and participate from wherever you are! All participants receive a race bib, a WWP t-shirt, and a medal upon completion. Register by October 15th to be guaranteed a t-shirt. IN PERSON DETAILS: 9:30am- Check-In Opens 10:00am- Welcome & Warrior Speaker 10:20am- Warm-Up & Stretch, led by Army Veteran Darryl Torres 10:30am: Kick-Off For over 20 years, Wounded Warrior Project has provided programs, services, and advocacy to empower post-9/11 wounded, ill, and injured veterans and their families — including mental health services, physical wellness activities, VA benefits assistance, and peer support. Learn more at woundedwarriorproject.org. Veterans are more than twice as likely to die by suicide as non-veterans, according to the VA, and many wait months for access to mental health care. WWP's programs directly address this need — and suicide is preventable. Since Team Yellow Ribbon held its first 5K in 2023, we've raised nearly $30,000 for this cause.
