Global Awareness: Bystander Intervention (OAE) Presented by Ivory Sirmans, Office of Access and Engagement A Center for Teaching and Learning event Description: In Bystander Intervention, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the Bystander Intervention Model and strategies used for noticing and intervening with harassing behaviors related to all types of discrimination. This course aims to empower participants with the knowledge and skills to recognize and address uncivil behavior to foster a safer and welcoming campus environment. Please Note: This workshop is designed for current UAB teaching faculty, instructors of record, academic advisors, and other student-facing staff members. Graduate students and postdoctoral scholars are invited to attend the CTL LIFT series workshops instead. Total CTL Point Value: 10,000 pts.
