CTL LIFT – Rubrics - What are they and why should you use them? Presented by Stacey Cofield, PhD Description: Want to know how to make grading easier for you and assignments easier on your students? Rubrics are the key – literally! This session will demystify what rubrics are—those seemingly complex grids used for grading—and transform them into clear roadmaps for learners. You'll discover how using rubrics before assignment can clarify expectations, guide your teaching, and ultimately help students understand precisely why and how their work is evaluated for deeper understanding. Participants who complete eight workshops in the program will receive a LIFT certificate from the Center for Teaching and Learning to demonstrate their engagement with learning about good teaching practice.
