Murphy Fine Arts Center · Montebello
Monday, November 2, 2026 · 4:30 PM – 7:15 PM
This collaborative campus and community commemoration examines the November 2, 1930 coronation as both a historical event in Ethiopia and a transnational moment in African and Diasporic consciousness. The program connects Ethiopian statecraft and sovereignty with Ethiopianism, Garveyism, Pan-Africanism, Black Internationalism, Rastafari, gendered history, and the historical memory of Africa across the Diaspora.
