SUMMARY:"Black Lodge" and "Bardo"
LOCATION:University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill\, Chapel Hill\, NC\, U
 SA
DESCRIPTION:The night before Halloween\, Memorial Hall transforms into some
thing unsettling and mysterious.\n\nBefore the performance even begins\, a
udiences are invited to enter BARDO\, a haunting\, liminal place between d
eath and rebirth. Come dressed in your Halloween finest and venture throug
h spaces rarely open to audiences. Eerie installations. Strange encounters
. Unsettling imagery. Around every corner\, the sense that something is wa
iting—and watching—just out of sight. North Carolina performers bring
this dreamscape to life to create an experience that haunts long after the
night is over.\n\nThe journey culminates with BLACK LODGE\, a dark Lynchi
an goth-rock opera about a tormented writer trapped in the nightmarish Bar
do\, where he is forced to confront the darkest moment of his life again a
nd again. Through the blending of music\, theater\, and film\, the perform
ance explores what it means to reckon with the worst thing you have ever d
one. Together\, the two experiences create an evening that feels less like
attending a traditional performance and more like stepping into a collect
ive late-night fever dream. Enter if you dare.\n\n*This two-part event beg
ins with BARDO at 7 p.m.\, followed by BLACK LODGE at 9 p.m. A single tick
et includes both experiences.\n\n*Get in on the spirit of horror movies an
d Halloween – audience members are encouraged to arrive in costume!\n\nS
tudent tickets always $11. Eligible for CLE. Find out more and buy tickets
