DESCRIPTION:The River Hills/Lake Wylie Lions Club (RHLW Lions Club) is prou
 d to host the annual Run for Life\, on Saturday\, April 24th\, 2027 . The 
 net proceeds help support The Lions Club's efforts on behalf of Type I Dia
 betes and Childhood Cancer Programs. The event will start and end in beaut
 iful Camp Thunderbird adjacent to River Hills Community. It will include a
  5 K and 10 k Runs and a 1-Mile Family Fun Walk. The 5K and 10k runs and 1
 -mile family fun walk will be held in the lakeside community of River Hill
 s in Lake Wylie\, S.C. Runners will love the challenging course that offer
 s rolling hills\, tree lined roads\, lake and golf course views. Families 
 will be able to walk a course that offers stroller-friendly sidewalks to m
 ake their day enjoyable. The funds raised by "Run For Life"{ allows the Li
 ons Club to sponsor children with Type I Diabetes to go to Camp Sweet Esca
 pe. The camp is designed to help the children understand how to live and t
 hrive with this frightening disease. River Hills / Lake Wylie Lions Club i
 s one of the largest and most active Lions Clubs in the Carolinas. We supp
 ort over 30 charities through our Run for Life\, Golf Tournament\, Communi
 ty Directory\, Pancake Breakfast\, and the generous donations from our mem
 bership. Our Goal is simple\, “We Serve"
