DESCRIPTION:The Kennedy Krieger Child Life & Recreation Therapies departmen
 t is excited to host Sibshops\, a nationally recognized program for siblin
 gs ages 7 to 14 of complex and/or chronically ill children.\n\nSibshop ses
 sions will focus on these siblings’ well-being\, as they experience stre
 ssors and challenging emotions\, just like parents and caregivers do. Duri
 ng this event\, siblings will play games and participate in age-appropriat
 e activities that promote self-confidence\, understanding and empathy. Thr
 ough these activities\, siblings will meet other children in similar situa
 tions and provide support for each other.\n\nSibshops is hosted at Ronald 
 McDonald House Charities Maryland\, located about a mile from Kennedy Krie
 ger's Broadway campus. Siblings ages 7 to 14 of patients receving care at 
 a Kennedy Krieger outpatient medical clinic are eligible to participate.\n
 \nA caregiver must remain on-site throughout the duration of the Sibshop. 
 Caregivers are invited to participate in a co-occuring Wellness Group for 
 adults. Participation in the Caregiver Wellness Group is optional.\n\nIf y
